Green Zone House

Conceptual, Main and Executive project for an apartment building in Ražanac. An atrium villa with a swimming pool, surrounded by greenery. The concept was determined by the need to enjoy greenery from every corner of the house, as well as the need to bring natural lighting into the interior.

Project assignment:

Comfortable one-story house with an atrium garden. It was necessary to create one room with an anteroom and bathroom and a central atrium surrounded by a large living room. The swimming pool must be in an inseparable connection with the garden, terrace and sunbathing area.

Mission accomplished:

The green atrium is located in the heart of the house, but it is not surrounded by closed living space. From the living room, there is a view across the atrium to the pool area using the covered terrace. This zone is important because it gives the feeling of an interior, security and privacy, but it is still an open space.
Also, a workspace was inserted as a quiet buffer zone between the living and sleeping blocks.
The workspace enjoys a view of the Starigrad Sea Canal and Paklenica.

The entire construction will be made of wood-cement mineralized blocks.
The house’s energy needs will be met by solar panels and heat pumps.
Private gardens accommodate native plants and participate in creating an optimal microclimate.

This project is energy efficient and unobtrusive in the environment.
